I've read somewhere that Win2K/XP don't need CAL to
connect to TS. But how come when I'm checking TS License
Manager, I could see that the Win2K/XP computer name is
there, together with expiration date? Doesn't that mean
it's using a CAL? Or do I miss something?

Hello,

I believe it's showing up in the license manager because it's a client that
attached to your box, but since it's 2k/XP it shouldn't use on of your cal's
up.

That is true if the server is running Windows 2000 Server, not Windows
Server 2003.

If it is a Windows 2000 Server, it shows up as a special license type
and does not count down your purchased licenses.
