Cached Share Credentials - clear?

Hello,
Question:
How do your clear (delete) the cached credentials
(username/password) from network shares once the user has
checked the box to remember name/pass?

Details:
Two Windows XP SP1 laptops. Cat5 crossover cable
scenario. Sharing works great. The users 'check' the box
to remember the username/password they typed in to access
the other machines share, it WORKS the first time
(because the username/password ARE correct), but after a
reboot, it no longer works.
Under permissions we have 'Everyone' set to have Full
Access.

Problem is, it is still (saved)cached thus never re-asks
for the username and password again. Just keeps denying
them access.
No configuration change inbetween when it works and when
it doesnt, just a reboot.

My question is,
1. is this a known bug? is there a patch?
2. How do you clear the saved username and password from
network shares so it will re-ask them for user/pass?
3. Anyone have any other advise to solve this problem?

I can instruct my users to do a manual map, using "net
use" at the command prompt, but this is a lengthy and
complicated command for my users to have to type in every
time.
Thing is, when using 'net use' , it DOES work, even after
being denied access through 'my network places'. They can
then re-access that share. So i do not think it is a
configuration issue, its an issue with them checking that
box to save the username/password they typed in to access
that share.

Thanks for any help! Sorry for the repost.

Control Panel->User accounts.
Click the Advanced tab, and click on Manage Passwords.

Cached Credentials issues
If you change the password on one computer but others or if you change the
password of the local user but domain user (both local and domain logon IDs
are the same), you may have different cached credentials. For this reasons,
you may experience some logon and access issues. To fix the problem, you
need to find out which passwords need to change. If you want to delete the
credentials, you need to go to registry.
