cache mode question

Using Outlook 2003. We're converting people to cache mode. A user who
normally logs off every night but doesn't shutdown her workstation said this
morning that she didn't have any emails overnight like she normally does. She
said that she had to hit the "send/receive" button to get emails and then the
ones that came in overnight showed up. Is this a result of changing to cache
mode?

Thanks,

No, sounds like she is in offline mode now. Check the connection status in
the right bottom corner of Outlook.
