i have a laptop with a network card already installed....when i connect my cable modem my laptop sees the connection at 100 MPS and when you click on status of that connection the send and recieve numbers are increasing but when i click on internet explorer i get the blank page unable to find server i have had this connected to a cable modem in the past and it worked great that was a few months ago.

Can you PING a remote host by IP address? Try PINGing the DNS server listed
by your ISP.

If so, you issue is with name resolution.

im having the same problem. it started doing it two days
ago.

panel,network connection,network connection,check and see
if there is an icon for your connection,if no create one
if yes is it enabled n-r-click enable y-r-click repair
connection,if that don't work go to-------start,run,type
in cmd,type in ipconfig/release in the black box ,then
type in ipconfig/renew,should work.
