Just installed SP1a on a Dell 4400. After reboot, I get a
BSOD. The specific error reads:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}

The Windows Logon Process system terminated unexpectantly
with a status of 0x00000080 (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.

Read about most of these c000021a errors both from the
Knowledge base as well as from other supports sites.

QUESTION: This is a Dell OEM install of XP Home, and as
such, I do not have a real copy of Microsoft Windows XP
Home. I can perform a fresh install, but cannot access the
Recovery Console. Doing the fresh install would delete all
of this user's files.

I would like to follow the directions located at:
http://www.mcsc.ms/message873627.html

I have my own Microsoft copy of XP, but it is XP Pro. Can
this be used to complete this process? Or will it install
a new version of XP Pro rather than XP Home?

Jeff
