Hello

Any idea what this OCX does and why it should be trying to use a system DLL memory zone.

I get a message on startup (win xp) saying that "The system DLL user32.dll has been repositioned in memory. The application will not execute properly. The repositioning was done because the DLL C:/WINDOWS/system32/HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address zone reserved for Windows NT system DLLs. PLease contact the vendor to supply a new version of the DLL"

This was translated from French so the wording may not be exact.

I found the following page from Microsoft which proposes a solution http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448/fr

Hi there,

This KB may not apply directly to you, but I too saw this error with
HHCTRL.ocx, which is part of MS IE Help... As it turned out, this problem
started after updating my PC with the latest updates - and stopped Realtek HD
audio control panel from starting - initiating that exact error msg.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448
There is also a link from the article to another "update" that fixes it.

I hope this is of some use!

Also see What We Are Doing section of
