Thanks
One more question, but, um, here's what happened this morning...
The nohosts one used to be named hosts (no caps). And the HOSTS one used to
be OLDHOSTS. So, for me to be able to rename OLDHOSTS to HOSTS, I had to
change the name of hosts to nohosts. My question is, which one is the right
HOSTS file? Is it OK if I delete those two, and replace it for the one at
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm ??
Thanks again!

Debbie

| Debbie,
|
| you can safely delete the 3rd and 4th item as they are copies of the
| main HOSTS file. Also the file nohosts seems to be an old file and
| therefore can be deleted.
|
| I would download a new HOSTS file to be on the safe side. Also, I
| suggest you should read the article about how to lock the file so that
| parasites can't change it without your knowledge.
|
| The download site is:

| Oh Debbie, sorry I misread your message. The icons are as they should
| be because these files are not associated with any programs yet. The
| main HOSTS file can be associted with Notepad if this is what you want
| but it doesn't matter.
