My friend has just got layoff by his company. The company will pay $5000 for
his training. He want to use the money to get some training on C# and
possibly get a Microsoft certification.

Can anybody recommend some good C# start books? Also there are so many .NET
training company on the internet. Can anyone recommend some good training
CDs?

Thanks,

Lijun

Is he sure he wants to go with certs? There are many colleges that have
advanced .NET training courses that IMHO look better on a resume.

I took one at Penn State, and got a job in which I was chosen out of 200
applicants and with a 15K increase in salary.

Just a thought...
