ME is not an upgrade to W98...ME was the worst.
Sounds like your local copy of your web is wacked.
If your live site is current and your webserver has FP extensions installed
(and working). Open FP, then Open Web and type in the http:// address for
your web. This will open the site "live", then File | Publish Web and select
a NEW name to Publish it to on your local hardrive..in My Webs folder and do
a full publish.

| What does this mean? The beginning of the message reads:
| Server error: Cannot open file - then rest of text as above.
|
| I save anything I am trying to do - this message keeps coming up over and
| over.
|
| I am using Frontpage 2000
|
| I have had major problems with my computer recently and had to have it
| upgraded from Windows 98 to Millenium (I know I'm still way behind but
s'ait
| la vie)
|
| Since then, not only did i lose my original copy of my website but I do
not
| know how to download the 'live' copy back onto my hard drive.
|
| Any help would be gratefully received - but -as you can probably see, I am
| not technically minded so plain english would be appreciated.
|
| Many thanks!
