C-Media Driver Problems

Hey ive tried EVERYTHING. im trying to install the latest
driver for my SoundCard.

So i went to Microsoft update thing and i downloaded C-
Media Driver Forgot the version but it was the latest
one, once it was downloaded it it started to install but
then a blue screen came up and said that my computer is
shutting down to prevent damage. Why Can't i install this
driver PLEASE help me!
