When I open "My Computer" in my hard drive, C, there are
14 folders Named FOUND. In each folder there are one or
two files names file000 or file001 with property
descriptions of "Recovered File Fragments". Lately when I
boot the computer it has been frequently running checks
for disk consistencies, and sometimes the computer reboots
right when it would normaly ask for my password. Does
anyone know what my problem could be?

Thanks for reading,
Leo

You hard drive is going bad. Those FOUND folders and bad sectors on the
drive. Immediately do some backups and get a new drive.

Or you have had a habit of powering down your system, rather than doing an
orderly SHUTDOWN. This can create file fragments, tyhat a subsequent CHKDSK
will recover and place in that folder.

Just delete them. But, it could also be evidence of actual disk problems.

It either could be:

1. You're not shutting down properly.
2. Hard drive developing bad sectors, which could mean
eminent drive failure.
3. Memory problem
