hello

i have windows xp and recently drives have not been opening. when i double
click on it opens the 'open with' box and asks me to choose a program. this
happens with all drives whether removable on inbuilt.

i followed the advice on one website to remove the ms32dll virus however
there was none found on my system.

i have an updated avg free edition and use adaware and spybot to clean
spyware. whenever adaware detects spyware cookies and trys to quarantine
them, they get automatically restored as reported by avg, which does detect
them but cant remove them.

i suspect infections.

any help?

Did you tryed booting in safemode ? Then try to remove them.

i totally forgot about it. thats what i would day untill 4 months backs when
i used to think in the windows way of computing before i got my macbook.
