The date and time was 11/5/2008 7:29 AM, and on a whim, algwrg pounded
out on the keyboard:

Look for a file in the root named autorun.inf. If it's there delete it.
The name can be changed by right clicking on the drive and selecting
Properties.

There is no autorun.inf file in the root. Right clicking, and selecting
properties does not change the description. Renaming the drive does not work
.. It reverts back to the wrong description.

I tried the script line 119, with no success. Entered
C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll,9 then rebooted. No change.

That did not work. I created a shortcut to the C drive. Right clicked on
the shortcut, properties, change icon. Under change icon shows
C:\SECUR02B.ico
This file does not exist on the C drive. I can change the shortcut icon
and description the the default hard drive icon, but the icon in MY Computer
still shows the ironkey (usb drive) icon and description.

Hmmm, last try. )

1. Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/Drive/Advanced/Change Icon.
Reboot twice.
2. Search for autorun.inf and delete all that appear.
Reboot.
3. If it then opens Search run: regsvr32 /i shell32

I resolved the issue. The system files were hidden. Once they were shown I
saw the autorun.inf file and the icon file, deleted them and the C drive icon
and description were back to normal, except the C shows twice. Local Disk
(C (C Can it show only once?
