I understand all of the basic C# logic but am trying to think of a
pretty basic program to put together. Does anyone have any programs
they have created that helped them learn when they were starting out?
Anything helps.

You can download the SQL Server Express Edition (free), if you don't have
SQL server.

I would give you another sample project, but you may not be ready for that
one.

A great place to start is to visit the site below. The videos and hands-on
tutorials are excellent in getting you up and running in no time.

I am looking for something similar. I was wondering if you ever had
any luck with this. It's as if I sit in front of the keyboard and get
writer's block. Let me know if you get an idea.

Thanks!

There's no rules to determine "what" to create...it's all up to you. If
you're having trouble thinking of something, look around you. Find
something that you think could be a bit better and do it.

If you're just looking for simple things to get going, go out to
downloads.com or some of the other share/freeware sites and read the
descriptions of the apps that are there. When you find something that
interests you, think of a way to improve it then do it.
