Our application has a nasty penchant for instantaneous shutdown while it's
running. It will happen at random intervals, but usually fairly soon after
opening the app (within a few minutes). It doesn't seem to happen if the
application is just left idle. There is no warning, nothing, the application
simply disappears. We have no such problems on 2000 or XP.
One person has noted that the problem seems to occur as the physical memory
free on the 98 machine gets low. However, the application is using no
virtual memory, and there is plenty of virtual memory free at the time.
Does anyone have any suggested tactics to analyse this problem? Any
information given would be appreciated.
