After the Dell logo screen, and before the Windows screen, I get a (DOS?)
screen asking me to select the operating system to start MS. It lists
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition twice. I either have to choose one or let
the timer run down. How can I bypass (skip) this screen?
Thanks for any help.
DG

Start/Run/msconfig (this open the System Configuration Utility.
Select the BOOT.INI tab
Click on the 'Check All Boot Paths' button.
If Msconfig finds an invalid path (you indicated you have two) it will ask
you to delete the invalid path.

Now as to the timer, you will see a Timeout box in the middle right of
System Configuration Utility window.
You can change this to a lower number of seconds.
