I am wanting to buy a new pc in the next few weeks because my current one is 10 years old, and it would be pointless upgrading it and im sick to the sight of it, lol.

Firstly, Im not much of a gamer, but i do have a lot of apps running at same time, downloading, browsing, editing, etc...

I require at least 500gb memory(possibly 1TB)

Wanting quad core so i can future proof my pc

TV tuner so i can watch TV on it

My budget is between £700-1000.

Now, Im not very technical and WILL NOT be able to build my own pc.

I have pasted links to the ones im interested in, can you please give your recommended choice:

http://www.cube247.co.uk/?customise=37

http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/16469...o-q6600gt.html

Which is the better from the 2 in terms of performance, parts, etc

also, if you can recommend a better one by all means do so

advice appreciated

Have a look here . Its worth having a look at their gamers pc's aswell , personally I think the gamers pc's they offer are a darn good deal .

looks good.

However, without operating software and no TFT monitor etc adds another 150-200 to it.

What did you think of the listed pc's

The Cube is overpriced , not bad spec , but it has 2 very low grade graphics cards . They do not tell you what the motherboard is .They do not tell you what make the monitor is . Personally I think they are trying to con folk with bull**** .

The Pc Pro looks pretty good , all in all a decent spec and good parts , I don't know enough about the mobo but at least its a Asus which are usually fairly sound . They do not tell you what size the graphics card is .

PC Specialist:

2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
4GB 800MHz DDR2 RAM
Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard
2 x 500GB Western Digital WD50 hard disks
LG GSA-H55L DVD writer
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT graphics
22in 1680 x 1,050 LG L226WTQ TFT 2 x DVI-I out
Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme audio
Creative T6100 5.1 speakers
4 x USB
2 x FireWire
eSATA, S/PDIF out
Gigabit ethernet
Wireless keyboard and mouse
6-in-4 card reader
Dual tuner TV card
Windows Vista Home Premium
1yr C&R warranty

£1174.00

Way overpriced.
Make of graphic card?
Graphic card memory?
Vista will only use 3.5Gb of memory at most, 2Gb is sufficient
The Sound card is not a true X-Fi and only costs around £28.00
What make are the keyboard & Mouse? Mouse dpi?
What make is the TV Card? Hauppage are the best.

I certainly wouldn't buy it.

Cube:

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel Core 4 Quad Q6600 Processor
4096MB Corsair DDR II 667 Memory
500GB SATA II Seagate Ultra Fast Hard Disk
NEC 7200 Multi Format DVD/CD ReWriter
TWO nVidia 9600GT 512MB Graphics Cards - SLI Magic!
7.1 High Definition Surround Sound
Intel Deluxe Motherboard
Multi Format Memory Card Reader
DVD/CD ROM Drive
22" Widescreen VGA/HDMI Flat Panel Screen
Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard
Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse
Creative Inspire T6100 5.1 Speaker System
10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN
12 x USB2 Ports

£949.00

Only 667 memory and 4Gb not needed.
If you're not into gaming then two 9600GT's in sli mode is a complete waste of money.
What make is the motherboard?
What make is the monitor?

I wouldn't touch it meself.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This (Tower unit)
and
This (Windows Vista Home Premium)
and
This (22" Monitor)
and
This Mouse & Keyboard)
and
This (5.1 Loudspeakers)
All comes to £984.00 plus about £15.00 for postage.
All quality components, all with a year's warranty and all from a company that I've dealt with for years and are ok with rma's.
Or take a look at Novatech, they offer some good machines.
Flops spec from overclockers is very nice and all quality componants, although it doesn't have a quad core CPU you want - then again, do you really need one?
Cube have excellent customer service and if you call them they will give you any info you require - having said that I would not buy that particular PC either.
