Real life for this printer is GREAT
I had to find the adjustments to print the Kodak Ultima paper and once I did
that I have great prints and results. Canon Paper Pro has given me equal
results. The machine is quick and very quiet. It has been my first
experience in printing "photos" and would and have recommended the machine.

This is the Kodak link for settings used for the Canon i960
I also have had very nice results with the Canon Matte
Good luck

: After seeing much praise from users re Canon i960, I'm thinking of
: buying one to complement my Epson C80. I'd like to hear experiences re
: print permanence with high quality Canon papers or Kodak Ultimate
: ColorLast. I don't need prints to last 100 years. I'd just like to see
: my granddaughter's photos last until they grow up. I'd be happy with 15
: to 20 years. Fading is reported with dye inks but I gather that paper
: composition is getting to be an equally important factor that may
: enhance the permanence of prints. I'm tracking usenet fora, Wilhelm
: Research site and the photo-i web site and I'm trying to interpret a
: still unfolding story. Any wisdom or real life experience that users can
: offer would be appreciated. Thx.
