The reviews of the QX9650 leave the Q6600 standing.

I have asked Overclockers UK which seem to be a great company, and am still waiting to get an answer from them when they will build and sell a QX9650 desktop.

For a spec of
QX9650
Good efficient quiet Cooler
4 Gb DDR2 or DDR3 RAM
1 single 512MB GEFORCE 8800GT (not interested in more)
150GB WD Raptor® X
500GB SERIAL ATA II HARD DRIVE
DVD Writer
Approx 1000 x Power supply
No monitor

+ other standard components, but ones above are most important

I have found
http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk approx £2300 which seems expensive
http://www.pcnextday.co.uk approx €2300
http://www.dinopc.com approx €2000 (but don't ship Southern Ireland ? )

Does anybody know where i can buy a pre-built Desktop in the UK with a QX9650 ?

Yes, i know it could be built myself for less, but i prefer to just buy a pre-built.

Any tips on companies with qx9650 availble and which are reputable in the UK who may ship to Ireland appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

I sincerely hope the QX9650 leaves the Q6600 standing - its over 4 times the price!!

Retail for the new QX is around £635, so lets price the rest:

Quality Motherboard £150
Quality 4GB (4 x 1GB) 1066MHz RAM £200
Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme Cooler + Fan £45
512MB 8800GT £180
150GB WD Raptor £125
500GB SATA II HD £75
SATA DVD RW £20
Quality 1000W PSU £170
Quality Case £100
Windows Vista Home Premium 64Bit OEM £65
Extra fans/sundries etc £100

Total: £1865

So to be honest buying a pre-built one with quality componants is probably gonna cost well over £2000 wherever you go
