Linda,
I have no knowledge of a button doing just that. Maybe you are thinking of
Word where you have an outline view where you can show only titles (heading)
of a certain level.
In PowerPoint the best you can achieve is using the outline tab in the
outline view on the left of your screen which will show all text in
placeholders on the slides, title text included of course. If you have but a
title in the title placeholder and no other text in other placeholders then
you will only see the titles of all the slides in the presentation.

Following Luc's line of thought, you can collapse the Outline to see only the
titles. In 2003, display the Outline tab and click the Collapse All button.
In 2007, right-click any Slide Title and choose Collapse> Collapse All?

Or perhaps you were talking about a slide layout that includes only a title?
If so, in the Slide Layout task pane, choose the Title Only option.
