I have Windows ME and a buslink DVD writer. Under Device
manager it say that the drive is just a cd-rom, and it wont
let me write anything.

This newsgroup deals with Windows 2000 operating system hardware issues.
So you may wish to post to the WindowsME group instead. Most likely
reason you're having problems is you didnt install the driver and DVD
writing software for your model DVD.
