Business Contact Manager crashes

Outlook 2003 With Business Contact Manager installed on WindowsXP SP2

Type email address into "to" field is OK if address is in CONTACTS list. If
not, either during typing or upon leaving "to" field there is the error
"Business Contact Manager has encountered a problem error and must close."
On the popup offering to send an error report to Microsoft, there is a
checkbox offering to restart BCM.
(a) Leaving the box checked locks the error into an infinite loop.
(b) Clearing the box produces an error message that the HEADER of the email
has been cleared. Re-entering the address fails once, but with BCM off, the
next attempt works--one can type in a NEW email address and continue to
compose and SEND the email.

For the next email creation, the BCM is active again and one has to go
through the error and UNCHECK the "restart Business Contact Manager" box.
One can never open a fresh email and type in a NEW address that is not in
the contacts list, meaning every addressee has to be entered into contacts
before composing an email--arrgh!

Also: By the way, if one closes the "restart" popup using the red X, the
BCM is NOT disabled. One must uncheck the box and click one of the "send
message to Microsoft" buttons "do not send" or "send."

Also: After "send"ing the the error report to Microsoft, one is offered a
link to MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. Clicking that link produces an
error message that the very long URL page CANNOT BE FOUND. There is no
option to tinker with the URL which apparently is hard-coded into the error
reporting system.

Best would be to make BCM work as it should. Alternatively it would be
acceptable to disable it while making a "new addressee" email. Online help
does not say HOW to disable BCM.

OK by me--so which one?

Searching Microsoft newsgroups yields
commerceserver.businessdesk
office.businesscorecardmanger
smallbusinessmanager
outlook.contacts

and I don't know which will handle BCM.

How and where are you searching? Please don't use Microsoft's lame,
dumbed-down web based interface, ever. Get real. Use a news reader. This is
USENET, after all. My search returns microsoft. public.outlook.bcm
instantly.

Which group? Seriously, I'm not trying to smart off. I'm just asking for
help finding something I can't find in Google. BCM in this installation is
apparently an INTEGRAL PART of Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager.
I'm not finding a separate discussion group.
