Hi all,

I cannot get bcm 2007 to work on my office laptop. It crashes when I
create a new database and wants to connect to it.
All legal software on this pc and all patches installed.
Using only 1 profile in outlook

When I do a fresh install on another laptop it works but I need it to
install on this laptop because this is in the office windows domain.

Any suggestions?

On the startup screen
Create a new Database

It does that but on the "startup" pop-up screen it comes up with an
extra popup:

"business contact manager for outlook encountered a critical error
during startup and will be removed from this profile. If you would
like to use Business Contact manager for outlook, please restart
outlook and try again"

When I press ok:
"Business contact manager has encountered a problem and needs to
close"
"Please tell Microsoft about this problem"
We have created an error report that you can send to help us improve
business contact manager"
When I click on "what data does this error report contain"?"

There is this in the file :

Hi all,
and thank you for looking at my question.

I am glad I have just solved it:
I moved all mailfolders to a pst file (including inbox and subfolders
) and tried again. Now it works.
It looks as if BCM is trying to index the current mails or something
and failed.

Take care!
