I'm new to Movie Maker and can't seem to complete burning my project to CD.
The burning freezes with 58% completed and 15 seconds to go every time. It's
only a small project and there is plenty of room on the CD-RW.

Have you tried to save the movie to your hard drive and see if it completes
there or not?
If it does then you can move it to a CD from there quite easily and you
won't ruin any more CD's.
