when i burn data onto cd or dvd on my computer at work with any burning
software it confirms burning was completed successfully but when either i try
run the disc at home or at work it comes up with nothing on it?

any suggestions

What kind of drive have you got at home? Some older burners were finnicky
about what type of media they would play nice with.
Also, did you take the burned media to a 3rd pc to confirm the data is
infact there?
