I have successfully linked and or embedded sound to
several slide shows and they work great....however when I
burn a CD [with the viewer included]I get a scratch sound
like with the old vinyl LP's.

I have not been able to solve this problem. The CD folks
suggest it is a powerpoint problem and I suspect the MSN
folks will see it as a burner problem.

Do you get the scratch sound while burning the CD or while playing the
sounds from the new CD? If it is while playing the sounds - do you get the
scratch sound in PowerPoint only or even in some media player like Windows
Media Player too?

Tom,

Are the sound files WAV's?
Did you create them your self?
What format are they in...eg..

Compression (PCM?)
Sample Rate (44,100)
Bit Depth (16)
Stereo or mono

Cheers
