I keep losing my burner drive. Has anyone seen this
message before, and do you know how to resolve the issue.
Thanks,
Robin

Have you checked interface and power cables for less-than-pleasant
connections?

IIRC this error occurs when a device is not marked safe for sudden removal
and is then "removed". When I say it is "removed" I mean it is "seen" as
removed by the PNP manager. This could be caused by a number of things.

I would first check out connections (e.g. try swapping onto a different IDE
cable). If it still persists, perhaps the drive is not operating
correctly...or even the mother-board could have a failure. Try to eliminate
some possibilities and don't assume it's a software issue (I'm not saying
you're assuming that .

Hope this helps,
Chris
