Burned CD doesn't sound the same as the original CD

I have copied new CD's into my music library, but
when I create a new playlist and copy it to a CD and play
it on my CD player it doesn't sound the same as the
original CD. It sounds almost hollow or twangy. Any
suggestions to make it sound like the original.
