I have had this problem. I found that I can correct the problem by
adjusting the position of the Text box. If the box is too close to the left
edge of the slide, the bullet (a dot) will be cut in half. This solution
may require that you reduce the horizontal dimension of the text box.
Remember, you want to follow the six-pack rule for text on a slide (no more
than six bullets per slide and no more than six words per bullet) for an
effective presentation. Let us know if this works for you.
