We are having a problem with MS Word 2003. I've re-installed Windows XP SP3,
and re-installed Office 2003 SP3 on some desktops. Now, whenever we open old
MS Word 2003 documents on these machines that have been created before, it
changes all of the bullet points to squares (square bullet points)! We have
tried re-installing MS Office, but it did not help. We have deleted
normal.dot, that did not help either. The same problem occurs within
PowerPoint

We can go to Format > Bullets and Numbering, and change to the bullet point
that we like, however, we have to do that for every single bullet point that
we have in all these old documents……

Do you have any suggestions to solve this problem?

The font used for bullets in those old documents may be corrupt.
