Bullet Font Color Changes When I Change Text Color--Can I Change it Back?

Hi everyone.

I'm using Power Point 2003.

I'm having a very minor and unimportant problem with a slide, but it's
bugging me, so I'd like to ask for help with it.

I have a slide with the Title and Text design. The text is a bulleted
list.

The first snippet of text in the second box looks like this:

* Packet Writing is the name given to any type of software that lets
you place data directly onto a disc, as though it were a big floppy.

The asterisk represents the bullet.

Here's the problem: I changed the font color of the words Packet
Writing to red. When I did this, the bullet turned red also. I do
not want that. I want it black, like the rest of the text and
bullets. I can't figure out how, or if, I can get that one bullet to
go from red to black.

Is there a way to fix this? If so, how? Thank you very much!

Have you tried this:

* Highlight the line with the bullet.

* In the menu bar, select Format --> Bullets and Numbering...

* In the Bulleted tab, change the Color drop-down (bottom left corner) to
black.

That was too easy. <grin> I have no clue why I didn't think of that!
Thank you! Jd
