Anybody try using the bulk ink for bci-6 in the cli-8 carts ?

Can't imagine it would cause any damage, might need to adjust the settings.
Basic reasoning here is that:

A: Some people have a lot of bci-6 bulk ink left

B: bci-6 bulk ink can be bought from the better online stores, only places
selling cli-8 bulk ink are places I've never heard of before.

Can you get around the chip configuration that
spots when the cartridge has been refilled and shuts
down the machine?

AFAIK, Canon doesn't shut down, it keeps printing, but with no ink
monitoring, and a waning you do so at your own risk.

IT IS A BIG RISK. THEY ARE TELLING YOU THAT AFTERMARKET INK WILL CLOG
YOUR PRINTHEAD. AND THE GOOD NEWS IS THERE IS NOT INK THAT IS EVEN
REMOTELY ADAPTABLE AND NO CARTS THAT WILL WORK.

ISN'T THAT GREAT

There are several dealers with bulk inks for the new CLI-8 cartridges.
You only have to Google. Trust me, compatible cartridges complete with
new chips, and even reset tools for those of us who refill, will all be
coming soon, just like they did for Epson printers when they went to
chips. I declined to buy the new iP5200 in order to let the compatible
ink/cartridge market time to catch up to the new Canon standard. Maybe
next year, when the new printer line goes half price in advance of the
iP5300, or whatever, I'll move to the CLI-8 standard.

I HOPE THEY GET HIT FOR PATENT VIOLATIONS. NOW THEY WANT TO CLOG THE NEW
CANON PRINTERS
