Sadly, I think you have encountered what I can only call the aftermath
of the US Bush administration idiocy still hanging on and being
reflected. These are the same "brilliant politicians" who decided they
should change the name of "French Fries" to "Freedom Fries" because they
were not pleased with the fact that France was too intelligent to go
into Iraq to fight Saddam and his supposed "Weapons of Mass Destruction"
when they were proven not to exist by the UN, not to mention the fact
that Iraq had nothing to do with the 9-11 attacks. I think the US might
want to look at some of the history of the French resistance during the
2nd world war, or consider the amount of damage, and loss of life which
took place in Europe during that war, while the US mainland, was
untouched physically.
Some Americans have faulty memories and logic.
Anyway, your closest source for Epson substitute inks in any quantity
and selection is probably going to be the UK (unfortunately, yet another
brainwashed government, but let's not go there ;-)).
France is known for its dye industry, so there may be some French
companies producing inkjet inks, or there may be some distributors who
have taken on some of the product lines, but unfortunately, I don't
believe the number of people in this newsgroup from France is very
substantial, so as was mentioned, Google may be your best bet for trying
to track down suppliers.
