Silly question maybe, i was considering wearing surgical gloves, them
disposable ones, when building my PC....would you advise it or not?

Surgical gloves and balloons are both made out of rubber. Remember rubbing a
balloon on your head to build up static electricity and then sticking the
balloon on the ceiling? Well those surgical gloves can build up a static
charge just as easily so I would say forget the gloves. You're better off
using your bare hands. If you're really concerned about static damaging your
computer components then I suggest you buy a grounding strap, especially if you
live in a dry climate. I personally didn't use one but I happen to live where
the air doesn't get too dry. I was also careful not to touch any of the
electrical contacts.

Well you should use a static strap

And you can buy a PC power cord then break off all the prongs except for the ground
