I've got an application that runs, so I added an Installer project to it.
Now, every time I try to build the application, MS's Visual Studio 2005 Pro
pops up an installer with the unhelpful box, "Please wait while Windows
configures Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition - ENU."
It will prompt me for the CD, which I insert, the CD spins around for a bit,
then it prompts me for CD 2, and it checks it.
It will say it only has 8 more seconds to go, then hang there for 15-20
minutes.
If I make a change to the file and try to recompile, I get to start the
whole process over again.
What is going on? Why is it doing this?
I have since copied both install CDs to my hard drive, and that has made the
process a little simpler. But it still takes 15-20 minutes to compile every
time.
Why? How do I stop this? Has anyone else ever had this problem?
