Hi,

I am getting build error 1005 file not found for the files that are in the
repository I created with my components for NIC interface. The repository
folder has the files which target build cannot find and this folder is
shared on network as far as permissions go.

I don't know what else to check.

This error is occuring for all the repositores I created for my components
( NIC ,chipset, display adapter etc)

TIA

Jay

When you created the component for the MIC did you link the new repository
with the new component?

Look at the component's properties - specifically the Repsoitry entry. If it
is Unknown Repository, than that is the problem, you will need to assign it.

Hi Sean,

First thanks for writing XP embedded Advance book, that has helped me in
solving many problems in image development process in the past.

As far as this problem yes I have created 3 components and all have
registry properly assigned in and registry is visible in database manager.
Using explorer I can see all the files in the repository directory. When I
go to build image none of files are found by TD and generates 1005 error. I
have also enabled sharing on these directores to make sure the access to
these directory is available for every one.
How can I check what path is used by TD to access these files?

Thanks

Jay

When you say registry, you ment repository correct?

One problem is the link between the Component and the Repository in
Component Designer. The other might be that when you created the repository
path, did you point the path to the folder holding the binaries. Look at the
Repository in the SLD does it point to a directory containing the files for
the NIC?
