After my computer is running for a while sometimes I notice a watermark that
says my copy of WIN7 is not genuine. Something about build 7600. This is a
new hard drive with a clean copy of WIN7 from a retail box. I already
registered it also, successfully. Why do I get this "watermark" message in
the bottom right hand corner. Never happens when you first boot up. Just
appear later after extended use. Well it's a dell computer with 2.6 amd dual
core processor and 4G memory. 250g hdd. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Activation and registration are two different things, and you can verify
your activation status by: Right click on My Computer and select Properties
(or, Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System), and the last section
should list your Windows activation status.

If you have activated, successfully, before, the following link provides a
tool to verify if the installed copy is genuine, and in the case of damaged
components, it may repair for you:

http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/val...9-897b8eb0d7f3

PS: It is advised to read the Troubleshooting section before proceeding, and
I have no personal experience with it, so use it at your own risk

Hope it helps and good luck.
