I have been repeatedly asked to install "Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components (KB832483)" and it has successfully installed via "Web Site" and "Automatic Update" but it is not dissappearing from the list of critical updates

This is occuring on 2 computers I have - both with Win2K pro and MSDE.

Updating to MDAC 2.8 does the trick.
After that, the security update should apply properly.
