There is a bug in the new NVIDIA driver available on the
Windows Update site.
It does not correctly drive dual monitors (internal LCD
and external CRT). The previous version did.
The problem is that the driver tries to put the LCD into
the highest (native) resolution and then the CRT into the
same resolution as the LCD before turning it on. If the
CRT cannot handle the resolution then the process aborts.
The previous driver would run the LCD at the highest
resolution that the CRT would match and it all worked
quite well.
I have rolled back, but I would like to tell the relevant
parties so that it can be fixed for the next version.
Can't figure out how to do that without paying for the
privelege.
