[BUG] Incomplete scans

Reported to MS 1240 EST 06 Jan 2005

On first scan I selected all local drives (C & E) and scan reported that
20843 files were scanned.

Second scan of C alone reported 15148 files scanned

Third scan of E alone reported 9714 files scanned

Drive E is a RAID 1+0 with 80636 files - _MANY_ files are not being
scanned - all scans used deep scan setting
