Flag Status column refuses to be placed or moved to any position other than
the far right in the top pane. It's definitely a bug since following actions
don't work::

--right click on field title row to bring up Customize Current View; click
on Fields; click on Flag Status; click on Add; click on arrow up til it's
placed on top (or near top); OK out of it......Doesn't work....doesn't permit
column to be moved, only deletion possible.

--right click on field title row to bring up Field Chooser option; click on
it; go down list to highlight Flag Status; drag that field's cell over to
where I want it between certain columns; ......Doesn't work.....contrary to
all other Frequently Used Fields, the cell doesn't even shape itself as a
moveable cell, like the others.

I've noticed a couple of other posts with this problem, but no one from MS
has offered any resolution. This problem has existed from the first day I've
had the program (pre-installed by manufacturer; re-installed by me after
having to reinstall Vista)

Anybody have any ideas?
tnx so much
Sissi

it's not a bug - its by design Flag Status is a quick flag field and is is
in a permanent position for easy access. The only bug would be removing the
ability to disable quick flags and convert it to the old flag field. (In
Outlook 2003 you can turn off quick flags and revert to the old flag
format.)

I don't mean to be argumentative, but it appears illogical: if it's meant to
be quick for easy access & English is a left to right-read language, why
would it be placed permanently at the furthest right point instead of
logically at furthest left at start of line (in View/Current View/Messages)???

If this indeed is the developers' logic, then please pass my message on to
those who collect feedback.

tnx for your quick response
