I am using Defender on an IE 7 system. Defender has blocked every download I
have attempted and warned of every system change that results even though I
have configured it NOT to subscribe to SpyNet at any level. With SpyNet NOT
activated, I am NOT supposed to receive any notifications or warning from
Defender yet I cannot stop them from occurring.

I believe that I've found a pair of options on the "Settings" page that may
address my problem. They are 2 boxes that describe when Defender should
notify the administrator. I will remove the ticks from these boxes to see if
that corrects my situation. Sorry for being an alarmist.

Being an alarmist is only a bad thing after the fact. Kinda like what
happened in New Orleans after Katrina. ;-)
