Hi,
this Bug also exists in Windows 7. Is there any Solution availabe for Vista/W7?
It occasionally happens to me with all kind of media files stored in my Libaries.
Thanks
Florian

There are more up-to-date articles. And there were obviously some
people from Microsoft. Maybe it would be helpful if you post there too
and describe your problem. I think it is the same than mine, but every
new post brings the thread up to the top of the list, and it looks
better if someone else posts than me again.
This means, of course, I do not have a solution yet.
The only one who can provide a solution is someone who is digging in
the source code of Windows Vista. Maybe some time this person will wake
up if there are enough posts on that subject.

When copying eml-files for backup from a non-vista system (XP-PC,
Qnap-Server) to a Vista Home Premium machine, the time stamp "modified"
of the files is changed to the current date / time of the Vista PC.
This effect exists since some Vista update about 2 weeks ago.
It makes backups more difficult because they are based on the
modified-time-stamps.
Why is this happening, and will there be an update to change this back
?

This is very problematic for us because of our backup program, which
also works with time stamps.
It seems to be a Vista bug because it only appears since after a vista
update about 2 weeks ago.
Do you think it is what it seems to be ?

I just see yours, seeming older than mine.
Is it because someboby gave you the solution???
Can you help me (Automatic date changing on Eml files is not convenient for
my backups)?
Thanks
