hey Tony..
ok i dont really have a sure solution for this... but i recommend you install Windows 98 on a different drive... install Norton and make sure its updated... then run a full system scan... hopefully, it'll catch the viruses..
it once happened to me that i got blaster and neither NAV nor the removal tool would detect it... but one day i just scanned through the other OS [98... isnt that vulnerable like XP] and found out i had three infected files..
you can also try scanning from safe mode...
and about those processes... try to get rid of them... kill everything from MSconfig except your antivirus operations that need to be started up..

In attempting to get this PC up I kept getting an arror
that xxx file is not a valid image file. And yea I don't
think they were, I noticed under Windows Task Manager
within the Processes THe header for the 1st colum
is titled "Image Name" not sure but shouldn't it be
process, is a file association messed up. if so wha
should the .exe be associated with? I know it and
executable but___ any feedback would be appriciated
trying to fix this without getting our sys admin
involved, were not suppose to add freeware to the
companies PCs
Thanks
