BSOD STOP 0x0000001A from CPU test

My PC froze when I tried to watch a DVD. I ran dxdiag and it also
froze the PC. So I started to check things. I ran two free CPU
testers (BURNMAX and CPUSTABTEST). They run for 5-10 minutes
and both give the same Blue Screen Of Death:
STOP 0x00000001A
MEMORY MANAGEMENT

does this suggest some hardware is on the way out?
Note CPUSTABTEST was only running the simple test, not one
of those CPU stress/heat options.

You may have some bad RAM, misbehaving hardware or drivers.

Almost surely hardware. Time to open up the box!

Check that the CPU cooling fan is working at 100% Sometimes the MB
manufacturer has a program to monitor temperature.

Are all the internal fans working, including any fan on the video card?

Reseat the memory sticks.

George,

I have seen an IBM server, model 6000R power off when we ran MS CPUSTRESS
test. The problem was the CPU itself.

Good luck!
