Hey guys

My system spec before I go on

MSI KT4V motherboard
2400 + XP cpu
2x 256 2700 DDR
Geforce FX 5600XT 128mb DDR (latest nvidia drivers 56.64)
80 gig seagate hard drive

I upgraded my system in october of last year and my
graphics card in december.
Everything was fine for a while until I started fine
tuning my registery (XP).I restored my backed up reg
after a my machine became unstable ie BSOD page fault in
non paged area, irq not less or equal,Nv4.disp.dll. This
was happening mainly when I was playing games but it
started happening when I wasn't playing games
(regularly!) so a clean install was the only option.
Things have been fine on the hole apart from when im
playin games sometimes,it'l just jump back to desktop.Its
been cutting out quite a lot today and ive had a BSOD
with the code *Nv4.disp.dll* error. I've realised that
this a nvidia driver file and I was wondering what I do
to address this problem and why are my games just cutting
out

Have you updated the driver? If that doesn't work, the card itself may be
faulty. It's a pretty sh*t card anyway - a modest Radeon 9200 would blow it
out the water.

Your original post stated that your instability started after fine tuning
your registry. Believe me when I tell you most programs that claim to
fix\fine tune\optimise your registry will tend to break it rather than make
it better. If you have a known good restore point from before you did
anything to your registry roll back your computer then reinstall the latest
Nvidia drivers for your card. If you don't have a restore point to go back
to try doing a repair install of XP. You might want to make a complete
backup of your system before starting anything so you can always get back to
the point before you start fixing your computer.

If the repair install fails reformat and do a clean install and update the
drivers and don't mess with the registry and you should find your computer
is stable again.
