I get a BSOD every so oftern while accessing my 2nd hdd. Seems to be running
fine, then will die. It was working fine a few hours ago but vista doesn't
seem to like it. Anyone else having/fixed this issue?

Could it be because you don't have a correct driver for it?

I can't find any nVidia IDE drivers for vista, its just using microsoft ones.
I didn't really want to use nVidias because they always cause problems. Both
of my hdd are maxtors.. could they need any updates??

Doesn't need drivers. Run the maxblast tool from maxtor and see if maybe
it's got problems.

Run the maxblast tool from maxtor and see if it's failing or having
problems.

Any one got Cheers Peter,
I have run the tool. Not problems detected. From what I gather these disks
require a firmware update. Maxtor has a note hidden deep inside there
troubleshooting section. Problem is, there closed until tuesday! Anyone
here got the firmare update for BANC1E0 (6L200M0)? I have fixed it for now by
turning off disk cashing, just seems to be a bit slower...
