rt2500usb.sys is the driver for your Wireless USB Adapters.

Windows Driver Kit: Driver Development Tools
Bug Check 0x7E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

You need to update or roll back the driver:
http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Hom...t/Windows.html

You are not getting the problem in safe mode because the driver is not
being loaded. You do not have the ability to access the internet in safe
mode.

I have exactly the same problem. The error code are the same. Error seems
come from the Linksys Wireless adapter WUSB54G. But the driver is the latest
version and I don't know what else I can do.

Terry

You may need to try another network card.

Background information on Stop Error message:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms795746.aspx

0x0000007E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
A system thread generated an exception which the error handler did not
catch. There are numerous individual causes for this problem, including
hardware incompatibility, a faulty device driver or system service, or
some software issues. Check Event Viewer (EventVwr.msc) for additional
information.

How to Troubleshoot a Stop 0x0000007E Error in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330182/en-us

Can you please post a complete copy of the Stop Error report.

Disable automatic restart on system failure. This should help by
allowing time to write down the STOP code properly. Keep pressing the F8
key during Start-Up and select option - Disable automatic restart on
system failure. Do not re-enable automatic restart on system failure.
Check for variants of the Stop Error message.

Does the error occur in Safe Mode?

Have you tried Last Known Good Configuration?
