browsing to other pc needs a password

I have 2 PC's on a home network, if I go to start run and type \\pcname\c$
it pops up username and password, however the usernname is geyed out with
pcname\guest

I want to put my username and password in?

XP Home or Pro?

If XP Pro, disable Simple Sharing from Folder Options/View. Create
identical user accounts/passwords on both machines.
