try using the control panel on the printer to get the network settings. I
have the same issue with a printer i bought at an auction. its a xerox
(techtronix colour laser). There is a menu on the printer that will print
out the ip address and subnet mask.
You will not see the printer in the network places.
when adding the printer, you need to setup the tcp/ip port (not the LPT1).
